Evidence-based general wellness

Wellness guidance you can check, then put to use.

CortexLit publishes interactive article-apps on everyday habits like sleep, caffeine, movement, nutrition basics, and focus. Every claim links to a verified source, the uncertainty is stated plainly, and each article comes with free companion tools that help you choose one small, practical change.

How it works

Each article moves through a relay with a checkpoint at every handoff. Nothing crosses a checkpoint unverified. If a check fails, the work stops instead of improvising.

  1. Research

A defined question, recorded searches of PubMed, PMC, Europe PMC, Cochrane, trial registries, and recognized guidelines. Each source is checked to make sure it resolves, matches its citation, and hasn't been retracted.

  2. Evidence ledger

Every claim is tied to its sources, with study type, population, and limitations. It also gets a plain-language certainty label (high, moderate, low, or very low). Associations are never presented as causes.

  3. Article-app

One self-contained interactive page with the takeaway, evidence cards, topic-specific cautions, and a plan builder. It works offline and needs no account.

  4. Companion tools

At least two small single-purpose tools per article, like a timing planner or an if-then builder. Every output cites a PubMed or Cochrane source. The free tier does the whole job. An optional paid tier adds convenience such as saved plans and calendar export.

Library

Each article shows its review status. Articles not yet reviewed by a qualified clinician are labeled that way.

No articles published yet

The first entries are in research. Each one will be listed here once its evidence is verified and a qualified person has reviewed it.

Trust principles

These rules come first. If a feature or a business goal conflicts with them, the feature changes.

No invented sources

Every claim cites a source that has been checked, and every tool output carries a PubMed ID or Cochrane review ID. No made-up citations, quotes, reviews, or test results. A claim that can't be verified gets narrowed or dropped.

Safety is never paywalled

Cautions, citations, evidence cards, when to seek professional help, and the main takeaway are always free. They are never behind a signup or an upgrade prompt.

Privacy by default

Reading and the free tools need no account and no personal data. No third-party scripts, no hidden tracking. Tools keep your plans in memory unless you choose to save them on your device.

Built to be accessible

Designed for keyboard and screen-reader use and small screens, with a still alternative for every animation when reduced motion is on. Pages keep working offline and in print.

Commercial interests in plain view

Paid tiers, affiliate links, and sponsorships are disclosed next to every tool link and in the footer, even when there are none. No fear, urgency, countdowns, or guilt streaks.
